Customization of call progress background?

So I've customized the home screen, and am working on skinning the media player on my s710, but I cannot figure out how to change the call progress background. I have found the 2 files used for the BG, but can't figure out how to change the file properties so that I can save modified versions in their place.

Perhaps someone can point me in the direction of the correct XML file to modify for this? Or a method for change the attributes of thos files?

wont work by editing the xml, you will have to change the registry entry.. create ur two background files as you like them, name them as you like them. go to your registry to [HKLM\Security\Phone\Skin\Progress\Landscape\Other] and change the string value "bmpNormal" to your destination folder and file name. e.g. my entry is called \windwows\mbrSimpleBlackLandscape_CallProgress.bmp. Do the same thing for the portrait call progress background. done. easy as that.
