"access denied" when trying to delete certain .lnk and .xml files

When I try to delete some of the .lnk or .xml files that came with the untit, I get an "access denied" error. I can delete 3rd-party files without any trouble. What do I have to do to be able to delete these files (shortcuts I have already copied to another folder and homescreens I'll never use)?

Ok, I found it! Just change this one reg key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Policies\Policies0001001

change the value from 2 to 1

Then drag shortcuts around all you like!

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Policies\Policies\00001001

2 indicates that access to ActiveSync is restricted to the SECROLE_USER_AUTH.

1 indicates full access to ActiveSync is provided. RAPI calls are allowed to process without restrictions.
