Enable bluetooth automatically on external power?

Pretty much as the title says, is there a way to automatically switch bluetooth on when there's external power, and back off when power's removed?

I've just fitted a Brodit active cradle so I'd like to connect to my handsfree carkit as the ignition's turned on without having to touch the phone.

I'm happy to pay for shareware.
