Guest starlight_xx Posted November 17, 2007 Report Posted November 17, 2007 I upgraded my phone recently and for the first time in years no longer have an SPV! Ive kept my C600 though for the occasions when I need Messenger. I logged in last night & my contacts are all over the place. When I log in on my PC it shows different people logged in compared to whos showing on my SPV. More bizarrely the one contact I wanted to talk to sent me a message but showed up as a different person. His ID shows offline & all his messages showed as if coming from one of my other friends... has anyone else had any problems with MSN on their SPVs or any suggestions as to what the heck is going on??
Guest Lojt Posted November 19, 2007 Report Posted November 19, 2007 I had that problem, i think it happens when you log on to messenger before you use windows live - for some reason it adds all your messenger friends to your contact list and adds them back to the messenger so you have two of each... I solved it by choosing log on with a different user in the windows live app, and logging back in - this seems to delete the duplicate contacts.
Guest marksurry Posted November 19, 2007 Report Posted November 19, 2007 MSN messenger used to do funny things on my Vodafone V1415. I'd log in using my mobile phone and it would show all my contacts as off line when I knew they were on line. They could send me a message, we could hold a conversation but they remained off line. Go figure! I now have a Samsung i620 and touch wood, MSN messenger seems to be working ok.

Mr D Mr E as offline. But then I get a message showing on Mr A's Id which is actually coming from Mr E. Everyones ID is mixed up! I had a nightmare last night, the person I wanted to speak to, a very close friend was showing online, I sent a message to what I thought was him on his ID only to discover it was someone Im trying my damndest to avoid. I opened the conversation with a very familiar and somewhat personal greeting!!! The person I really wanted to talk to then sent me a message but showed up as a female friend of mine. So basically none of my ids tie in with whos really there.... And if you followed that youre doing well lol
