PocketNes0.9 on Dash

ok so i downloaded the PocketNes 0.9 and everything is good, but while in game mood (i downloaded Super Mario 3) when i wanna start to do the mission, my select button dosent work...is it because i have the trial version???? this is the only game i have downloaded...can someone please help me!!!!!!
