Guest spr97ajm Posted January 27, 2003 Report Posted January 27, 2003 Hello all, I've had several occurances of this one and it's extremely annoying: The phone rings, I press 'Answer' and the message "ERROR: unable to answer the call" appears. The other party gets diverted to my answerphone. You can reproduce this error by calling your SPV from a landline, and then hanging up a fraction of a second before pressing 'Answer' on the SPV. I admit that the other party hanging up could have been the cause of some of my experiences with this, but it's happened too often to be a coincidence. Regards. Andy.
Guest budda Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 I get this too - it's pissing me off me the past few months so I'm finally gonna complain to Orange. It's stupid for the phone! :x I notice that it takes a couple of seconds before the SPV starts ringing too, it's as if it's delayed between the person at the other end ringing me, and the SPV letting me know - which would also fit in with what you say regarding the other person hanging up and the SPV still ringing. Stupid stupid stupid. Oh and my ringtone is a pretty small wav file too, so it should not take long for the SPV to load this up before it starts playing it. My mate who also owns an SPV hasn't experienced this either - is it not a global problem then? ... there doesn't seem to be much about it on the forums (I did a search first).
