Has anyone heard or know anything about the site??

 http://www.htcdirect.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=330&currency=GBP

They claim to currently have 4 units of the S730 currently in stock, even though every other site has at least a week before expected stock!! ;)

The site appears to be run by a single person as there is no phone number anywhere, and only a part address listed.

Support/contact is strictly by e-mail.

I'm suspicious. :(

From the given postcode, the full address is actually:

1 Leas Gardens

Westcliff-On-Sea

Essex

SS0 8JL

I tried to find a phone number, but it appears to be ex-directory or doesn't exist.

You're right it is run by one person, Paresh Chauhan, since April this year. In short, I'd be suspicious too.

In long, he has been online since April and there's no complaints floating around about the site just yet. There is, however, this quote from xda-developers:

I have also bought a unit from www.htcdirect.co.uk I was impressed with their speedy service, responses to my email queries and the unit turned up very nicely packaged. I will be using them in the future too. The only reason I went with HTCDirect was that Inkino had sold out at the time. Its always good to know more than one good source.

Who knows who posted that though? Could be Paresh himself!

I always like to use trusted sources when I spend large amounts of money on stuff so I wouldn't use this site, even with more reports of speedy delivery, 'cause I like the peace of mind when it comes to after-sales. On the other hand, I wouldn't rule this site out if you're desperate, just fire up some email conversation first and use a credit card for payment protection or if you're close ask to collect the item.

How do you know his name and the date?

What do you know about him?

The site now conveniently shows as 4 available "for pre-order" ;)

Was it always for pre-order, or a genuine mistake?
