Over GPRS you may need to use something like smtp.orange.net instead of your usual ISP address. If you are connected to somewhere such as Orange over GPRS, your ISP may think you are trying to relay mail through them. It would work over wireless (i.e at home) as you'd be connected directly to your ISP and so they will let you send mail through them without any problems. Hope this makes sense, I know what I mean, just sometimes can't explain it. ;)

Incoming is set to imap.mail.yahoo.com Outgoing is set to smtp.mobile.yahoo.com ...so I think the outgoing setting is correct? Sorry I should have added more detail which may help. I'm using an unlocked Orange E650, on O2, and trying to use BTYahoo Email. The error message I am getting is "Your Internet connection is not configured properly. Please verify your settings in Connections" Cheers...iain.

Outgoing (SMTP) should be smtp.o2.co.uk (contract) or payandgo.o2.co.uk (PAYG) You may be able to use theyahoo smtp address if O2 allow authentication of the yahoo service- if that's the case you need to go into the advanced mail settings for the account and select 'Authentication' and 'Use default settings' (or whatever the current dialogue says!)

Ok just tried that but no joy. It's as if it's not even trying to send/receive as it fails instantly. Under Network connection I have it set to "The Internet", same as IE, could this be something to do with it?

Just tried mail.btinternet.com but no good. I think it has something to do with the Internet connection myself but don't know what ;)

Right, done all those, checked on the BT site and it is mail.btinternet.com for POP3 (my previous profile was set to IMAP4)...but still no good. I then switched off the Data Connections, tried again, it doesnt even try using the GRPS (the little G symbol does not appear)....
