usb internet. How?

Just got me a touch dual on Orange. Lovely device but for the life of me i cannot get it to connect to the internet using a usb connection. I have searched and searched but can someone point me in the right direction?

Do you have Activesync 4.5 (or Windows Mobile Device Centre 6.1 if using Vista) installed?

I have vista and WMDC. Is that my problem?

No. Make sure you have WMDC 6.1 and in Mobile Device Settings, Connection Settings, the "this computer is connected to" should be on auto, but if that doesnt work then try "internet" - but if its a work network with a proxy server, then it will actually add the proxy settings to your device and you will need to remove them later when trying to connect over another network.

Set it to work connection and it works brill. The only thing that can't connect is the weather app on the main home screen. Thats ok though.

Hello Paul, I just joined and this is my first post. I tried the above settings in Active sync on my xp laptop and still cannot connect to the internet via usb. Is it different than WMDC and Vista?
