Operamini & wifi on e650?

Does anyone know how to configure Operamini to use wifi on an e650/s710 rather than GPRS or 3G, etc?

it'll use wi-fi if you explicitly start it before starting to browse

I tried that but when I tried to visit a different page to the home page, Operamini fails becuase it can't find a connection.

I know I'm connected to my wifi since using IE works fine.
