Guest MisfitKiwi Posted November 29, 2007 Report Posted November 29, 2007 The only thing that is annoying me currently about smartphone is the way there seems to be no way to exit out of an application that doesn't have exit in the menu, aside from use task manager. Is there a way to add an exit option to all applicaiton menu's or configure my phone so when I back out of an application(not hit the home button) it defaults to exit instead of hiding the applications. Cheers. -Kieran [HTC S620]
Guest Monolithix Posted November 29, 2007 Report Posted November 29, 2007 No way of adding it unfortunately. The idea of WinMo memory management is that apps stay running in the background after you've finished with them so you can quickly switch back, the management software then closes them as necessary when additonal memory is required so in theory you shouldn't need an exit option. In fact up until WinMo 2003 apps would fail accreditation by MS if they had an Exit option, although i believe this has now changed. Best bet is to install an app manager, theres a few task switchers and managers you can tie to hardware buttons avaiable out there, cant remember any names off the top of my head though sorry :/
