Guest Phil Lee Posted November 30, 2007 Report Posted November 30, 2007 I last used Unix 10 years ago so am a little rusty on things. I want to clear the contents of my SD card when it is plugged into my EEE PC. If I look at the permissions of the only folder on the card it is listed as being owned by root and I am not able to delete the folder. I have been able to change permissions so I can create new folders on the card but have so far been unable to change the permissions on the folder to allow me to delete it. Also is there any way to fomat an SD card on the EEE?
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted December 14, 2007 Report Posted December 14, 2007 Drop to Terminal (Ctrl-Alt-T), do 'sudo su' to get a root shell, change to the directory of the SD then do 'rm -rf' to delete everything? P
