Guest cerij Posted November 30, 2007 Report Posted November 30, 2007 Very simple, on my i600, whenever I lock the keys (by holding down the end call button), I have to type in my "corporate lock" password to unlock it. But I only want to lock the keys not the device! I am forced to have a corporate device lock due to my Exchange server policy, however I have set the timeout to 24 hours so it wouldn't be a problem if it wasn't for the key lock. Am I missing anything?
Guest bluntvillan Posted December 6, 2007 Report Posted December 6, 2007 What operating system are you using? Might sound stupid but try: Start > Settings > (7) More > Security > Device Lock
Guest cerij Posted December 6, 2007 Report Posted December 6, 2007 What operating system are you using? Might sound stupid but try: Start > Settings > (7) More > Security > Device Lock WM6. The above allows you to turn device lock on or off, except I cannot turm it off due to my Exchange server requiring device lock.
Guest bluntvillan Posted December 6, 2007 Report Posted December 6, 2007 Found a program that will do it for you: http://www.intelliott.com/apps/production/...oLock2Setup.CAB Source: http://www.mobilitytoday.com/forum/showpos...mp;postcount=34

Guest bluntvillan Posted December 11, 2007 Report Posted December 11, 2007 Sorry I could not have been helpful
Guest X-Ray A4T Posted December 12, 2007 Report Posted December 12, 2007 (edited) I had this problem before I left my last company. I know you need to enable registry editing (should be on the wiki) and use a program like total commander to edit the regisrty. The 1023 key will keep getting reset by the policy at your company. I know there is an app which I had which will change the setting back each time this key changes to fix this. Once the key is changed you should be able to remove the keylock requires password option. It works very well for me, except that this morning, when I open my 6965, somehow the option is gray out again. However, after resetting the value back to '1', and after a few sync and push mails, I have yet to see the option being gray out anymore, so will monitor further to investigate under what condition will such registry hack be reversed. Almost there - "access denied" when changing the value!
