Guest geordiekid Posted December 1, 2007 Report Posted December 1, 2007 Hi - something is driving me nuts... - I've got a TyTn II on Orange. Didn't like the phone dialer, so reset it to what I thought was the default with the registry tweak listed here, or somewhere on XDA Dev... - Thought it was fine, but then someone tried a video call to me and the phone didn't even register there was a call of any type incoming. When I try and make a video call out, it just defaults to making a normal call. - Then I tried T9 Editor, but when I do, it says "HTC Phone Pad is not installed on your device". Can anyone help - all I want is the default HTC dialpad that would come with the phone as if I'd bought it Sim free. I thought I had that, but I can't imagine they would have put the dialer together with video calling disabled? I have a funny feeling however, that what I want isn't going to be possible... In which case, has anyone got any good, specific suggestions of a dialer that will let me use video calling and T9 Editor, and which looks good. I know there are a lot at XDA Dev, but I need something that looks a bit more corporate, but more interesting than the Orange default. Thanks (hopefully)! gk
Guest mandt Posted December 3, 2007 Report Posted December 3, 2007 The dial pad and the T9 Phone pad are two different things, Reversing your Reg tweak should bring your default dialler (and video calling) back. have a look here for some different skins: http://www.zombienexus.net/portal/gl_subdi...=3&catid=85 HTC Phone Pad is a T9 style text entry method, have a good Google and you should find a copy, I can't say more than that :(

I might have confused things with my explanation... I didn't want my old dialer back, but did want the HTC default one... I tried installing the themes from the site you suggested but they defaulted the dial pad back to the Orange default, and changed the phone's colour theme. Also, that site does suggest they aren't for the TyTn II, but I tried them anyway - but only to get the effects above! Anyway, I just think I'll leave it. I found the Phone Pad software, it's just the phone dial pad I need to sort now - thank you for your help. gk
Guest bronksy Posted January 10, 2008 Report Posted January 10, 2008 I wouldnt use those skins.. according to the site... Saturday November 17 2007 update: Note: Newer HTC models (HTC Tytn II / Kaiser and HTC Touch) have their own custom dialpads, these skins aren't suitable for them. Do not install! You might have to hard reset if you cannot remove these skins via remove in settings
