i got quake 1 and 2 from here:

quake 1 runs at a pretty good framerate. quake II's framerate is acceptable, it could be better when the kaiser gets 3d drivers.

are there no screen problems on the kaiser with windows mobile 6.0?

I thought a white-screen fix is needed but not available for WM5.0/6.0?

whitescreen is not related to wm06, imo..

if you experience any problems when trying to start it up (for example...cannot find gfx.wad)

then your quake directory must look like this:

\Quake

\Storage Card\Quake

or

\Quake

\Storage Card\Quake2

The only problem i have on windows mobile 6 is, that the white screen error is still there... :(

I thought there is no Whitescreen Fix for Quake 2, but i found it! *YAY*

Now it works like a charm on my Dell x51v.

yes i downloaded the second one (AUX5), the one link called "PocketQuake-AUX5-XScale-PXA25X.rar (To use it: bind "AUX5" "togglemenu" in config.cfg)"

i cant even guarentee you it will work on the excalibur, being that it's a smartphone. you can try this:

\Quake = the devices main memory (not my documents, but the main memory) having a folder called "Quake" on it.

yes, you need to click on the .exe in landscape, then it will run quake in portrait till you click "OK" and if you've set up landscape in the cfg file it will automatically start on landscape when launched.

how do you set it up to launch in landscape mode? what is the cfg line? When ever I try to change it to landscape mode under options/video, it will turn to landscape mode, but it tells me to press esc to go back...one little problem... there is no escape button my device! how do I set it to landscape mode and then go back so I can start playing?

unfortunatly this was an older video I made when we used wm6.0, now we all use wm6.1, and for some reason quake 1 and 2 arent compatible with it, atleast not in landscape mode.

Even now I'm not able to get it to run on my tilt.

I wonder if it's as easy as copying the GX.dll file and whatever else it uses from the wm6.0 windows directory into the wm6.1 quake directory.

Quake 3 it worked, as far as getting accelerated to work.

I was using a different one that I found on here that was for the white screen fix, I believe this is it:

unfortunately there is no camera button on the fuze :rolleyes:
