Guest mikeeey Posted December 2, 2007 Report Posted December 2, 2007 i got quake 1 and 2 from here: http://www.herz-power.de/pq.php quake 1 runs at a pretty good framerate. quake II's framerate is acceptable, it could be better when the kaiser gets 3d drivers.

Hi there, are there no screen problems on the kaiser with windows mobile 6.0? I thought a white-screen fix is needed but not available for WM5.0/6.0?

Guest Zeiram Posted December 3, 2007 Report Posted December 3, 2007 whitescreen is not related to wm06, imo.. Hmmm it wont work on my Dell x51v upgraded to WM6.0... :-\
Guest mikeeey Posted December 4, 2007 Report Posted December 4, 2007 whitescreen is not related to wm06, imo.. well on the website ive provided http://www.herz-power.de/pq.php he said he's fixed this issue. if you experience any problems when trying to start it up (for example...cannot find gfx.wad) then your quake directory must look like this: \Quake \Storage Card\Quake or \Quake \Storage Card\Quake2
Guest Zeiram Posted December 4, 2007 Report Posted December 4, 2007 The only problem i have on windows mobile 6 is, that the white screen error is still there... :(
Guest farkah Posted December 4, 2007 Report Posted December 4, 2007 What tool do you use to overclock a kaiser ii?
Guest nothin Posted December 4, 2007 Report Posted December 4, 2007 Hmmm it wont work on my Dell x51v upgraded to WM6.0... :-\ like i said, it is not related to system. do some research for "whitescreen fix" ....
Guest Zeiram Posted December 4, 2007 Report Posted December 4, 2007 like i said, it is not related to system. do some research for "whitescreen fix" .... I thought there is no Whitescreen Fix for Quake 2, but i found it! *YAY* Now it works like a charm on my Dell x51v.

When ever I try to change it to landscape mode under options/video, it will turn to landscape mode, but it tells me to press esc to go back...one little problem... there is no escape button my device! how do I set it to landscape mode and then go back so I can start playing?

Even now I'm not able to get it to run on my tilt.
Guest twolf Posted December 19, 2008 Report Posted December 19, 2008 (edited) I had that problem too, its something with the XIP/SYS of the newer roms, thats Why i still have and older one (Clean black rom v1) on my touch dual. Btw, mikeeey.... Half life on pocket pc! :) Its a -GREAT- Quake 1 mod... Youtube preview: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kOnfCYta0GE its on the ppcwarez forum... Edited December 19, 2008 by twolf

By the way I am running it on a wm6.1 rom on my HTC Fuze a.k.a. HTC Touch Pro.

I wonder if it's as easy as copying the GX.dll file and whatever else it uses from the wm6.0 windows directory into the wm6.1 quake directory. Quake 3 it worked, as far as getting accelerated to work. well the demo runs just fine in landscape mode, however once I set it under options/video, I have no way of exiting out to go back to the main menu so I can play a game. The Esc key is hard coded to either the Camera button or a different button, i forget which one... atleast if your using the quake from http://www.herz-power.de/pq.php. Is that the same quake you're using? If you could tell me exactly what your using maybe we can get it working... or maybe it's just compatible on the Fuze and not on the Kaiser.
