Guest paulhbartlett Posted December 3, 2007 Report Posted December 3, 2007 My wife has a c550 and has lost the wall charger so has been charging it through the PC. I plugged it into the PC last night (phone on) and put the PC on standby. When she got up this morning, the PC had locked up and her phone is dead. It won't turn on or charge from either PC or car charger (no light). The PC is acting funny but the phone is not playing at all. Anyone got any ideas what happened??? Electrical spike??? Is there a way to get the phone alive??? Any ideas appreciated.
Guest tsutton Posted December 3, 2007 Report Posted December 3, 2007 If you put the PC on standby, it's not going to charge it at all as it will need the power. Have you tried removing the battery, wait for a few minutes and putting it back on?
Guest paulhbartlett Posted December 4, 2007 Report Posted December 4, 2007 Thanks for the swift reply. It turns out the battery is finished. I swopped my battery out of my c600 when I got home and the C550 worked fine so have ordered a new one off eBay
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted December 6, 2007 Report Posted December 6, 2007 Chances are the battery is still ok and you need to have a wall charger to bring it back to life. If the charge gets too low the PC will be unable to charge also when the PC is on standby etc then the phone being connected to the USB will discharge quite quickly.
