XP and SDHC cards greater than 4GB

I haven't installed XP on my eee yet but just put my new 8GB SDHC card in my normal laptop and it doesn't recognise it.

Came accross this fix but its one you have to contact MS direct about.

Has anyone else had to do this or do the high capacity (>4GB) cards just work for you?

Running a class 6 8GB in mine with XP no problem.
