Guest Danlance Posted December 4, 2007 Report Posted December 4, 2007 Has anyone managed to get TomTom 5 talking to a copilot GPS mouse. I have a (working) GPS mouse which came with my T-mobile vario Copilot 6 GPS package, and have recently been given (as a work phone) an O2 XDA (wizard), which already had TomTom 5 loaded on to it. Is there anyway of getting TomTom to use the copilot GPS mouse? I have successfully managed to pair the bluetooth mouse with the XDA, and have set it to use COM6 as an outgoing serial port. I then load up TomTom, and try to configure it to use the paired mouse - but the serial port COM6 does not appear in the list - and it can't connect to a device on any of the listed ports. I've also tried using the GPS control panel utility to present a virtual COM port - but it makes no difference as to what is listed in TomTom... Has anyone successfully managed to do this?
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted December 14, 2007 Report Posted December 14, 2007 COM6 should appear in TomTom, not sure why it isn't if you created the COM port in BT settings! Again, selecting COM6 as the hardware port and something else as the virtual port in 'External GPS' should work. What ports DO show up in TomTom? Are you using the latest version? P
