Guest nickcodefresh Posted December 5, 2007 Report Posted December 5, 2007 Has anyone managed to register their Orange Touch Dual on the HTC website? It says you can only register HTC branded products, which the Touch Dual is. When I try I get the message: Unable to register your serial number. The serial number you entered is not for an HTC branded product. Nick
Guest martinsa Posted December 7, 2007 Report Posted December 7, 2007 I think it should read... "Not bought on a contract... so bought from HTC, and the warranty is with HTC, and not Orange "...!!! maybe?

Those supplied by Phone operators are supported by those operators and not by HTC.

Nick I have faced the same problem as well. without able to register, we won't be able to download the driver, ROM etc.. for Touch Dual. I have wrote to HTC and still waiting for reply.
Guest yrreP Posted December 8, 2007 Report Posted December 8, 2007 Your devices may say HTC on them, but they are essentially Orange devices. As such you would not be able to register your device on the HTC website. ALL software updates will be available via Orange directly, and not HTC. It sounds kinda shoddy i know, but this is how it works. It's the same with all branded devices, their ROM's are created (in conjunction with HTC) by the Networks themselves.
