Threaded Text Messages

Is there any way to make the BJII SMS text messages in a threaded/converation type format like on the Treo? I've seen it on my friend's phone and it's really nice because you have the whole conversation in front of you with someone you are texting.

So after a lot of searching I found an app that does this but I installed it on my BJ2 and found 2 not very cool things about it.

1. The text was WAY tiny

2. It doesn't show you on the home screen when you have a new message - you have to launch the app

Does anyone else find it a HUGE pain to have to go to Menu -> Folders -> Sentbox just to see messages you've sent? And then you have to repeat the entire process to get back to Inbox. Has anyone here modified the messaging system in any way on their BJ2?

I think PalmOS5 had EVERYTHING arranged better than WM6Smartphone. This is a perfect example of a feature in Palm from over 3 years ago that should be everywhere now.

I know this is kinda an old thread but I was wondering if you had the link or possibly a place where I could download the files for this program. I just got my BJ II and the one thing i would love to have on it would be threaded messages.

I totally agree... though it was just me. And I hate it even MORE when I was in the Sent messages then go back to messaging thinking it's the Inbox... grrrr!

LOL yes, I have sent myself TWO text messages so far. I'm sure it will happen much more... I never had any problems with my pocketPC version of WM6.

Hmm... looks like it might be cool to try out.. iPhone style.. but I think I prefer the old fashioned way!

i tried that extremetext a few days ago. it goes way too slow for me. it took a good 30-45 seconds just to open a convo with one of my friends that was really long. if you send lots of texts i dont suggest this program.

Yep, Extreme Text is good until u start having a lot of conversations with the same person... It takes it a very long time for it to go thru all the inbox/outbox msgs to prepare them into chat style making the program useless.

Has anyone found another program that integrates w/ the built in Messaging and has better performance?

I would be tickled to death if someone knew where I could get a threaded messaging app. that was reliable. You would think with the popularity of the Blackjack ll someone has to be making one.

Windows Mobile 6.1 will have it built in, but no telling how long that'll take... :D

So are these Threaded Message programs smart enough to start and stop a conversation accurately? I mean, do they just look for all messages in the Inbox from the same sender and link them all together? Or, perhaps, are they smart enough to thread the respective message(s) if the message was "replied" to, rather than a new message "created?"

I've been pondering trying some of these programs out as well, but with all the inconsistencies I read about, I think I'm just going to "wait" for that illusive upgrade.
