Invalid Vendor ID

Hi All,

I managed to boot to my Vox but when i tried installing the ARA ROM and even the WWE 1.19 version, the installer gave me Invalid Vendor ID. Now I guess this means that my phone is CID locked right?

How do i unlock it?

I can barely boot into my OS, ( 1 out of 15 times after doing a hard reset ). Is there any way I can CID unlock it from the bootloader ( red green screen ) itself?Please give some suggestions on how to solve this problem.

You could pay £20 to http://www.imei-check.co.uk/ for their unlock which works very well indeed, and very quick.

or visit xda-developers where I believe there is way of installing other ROMs without CID unlock, but I've not personally tried that method.

I have seen the thread but it does not seem to be very clear on how to flash the ROM. I've tried running some of the commands using mtty but a lot of commands being used succeessfully there are giving me "invalid command" in my mtty. Is there a good work around?

Or do i just send my phone to the HTC service center ( very far away :D ) ?

Also, I have been using ur homescreens and they are great. Keep up the good work :(
