New SKTools upgrade 4.1.21 released, with 50% Christmas discount!

SKKV Software have released SKTools 4.1.21!

The winner of the Smartphone & Pocket PC Magazine Multifunction Maintenance Tools category 2007 has received a major upgrade!

Details...

New options:

- CABs Explorer: SKTools show all CAB, CPF, TSK files on device, show content (with full names, installation path, registry keys, shortcuts, _setup.xml), extract with full names, install to ANY location (full installation made by SKTools) for WM5/ WM6; Export function for REG files.
- SKTools can be associated with CAB files.
- Replaced ROM Files: show which ROM files have been replaced by another version, show version and date of these files; the user can see if the newest file (the file having the latest time stamp) is, in reality, older than others and, therefore, remove it.
- Move Data: move application, folders, files to any location with automatic registry and shortcut modification (and other data about files and their path).
- Storage Analyzer: show what files and folders (by types, attributes, ...) are stored on the device. Show storage usage for bases, registry, PIM, messaging, fonts.

Added to existing options:

- Reboot after scheduled auto cleanup (optional).
- Empty Program History without softreset.
- For users which want save some old appointments added setting for "Past appointments".
- Added "Search" in Databases viewer.
- "Show debug information in windows media player" tweak.
- #XML parameter for SKTools commandline added, also added to "Shortcut Wizard". This allow user execute provisioning XML files and view/save result.
- "Delete PIM Information": now possible delete not only messages, but also mail accounts (wm5/wm6).
- Optimize!: more clear menu, removed settings page, backup for original settings.
- Added "Replace" command in "SIM Contacts" option.
- "Tune UP!": added system and menus font name tweaks.
- "Tune UP!": lock device by long press "end" button (for HTC Touch).
- "Tune UP!": Offline Mode for PIE.- "Tune UP!": Tweak for wait cursor speed.
- "Tune UP!": Messaging "autosave" tweak, this determine after which time will be autosaved to "draft folder" created but not saved message.
- "Tune UP!": different values for PIE User Agent for different AKU.
- "Tune UP!": single line date plugin tweak (WM6).
- "Tune UP!": "ClearType level" tweak.

User interface improved:

- New information window, with colorized text support.
- Hardware button for switch by fav. category and current category.
- Show number of items in first column header
- Shortcut Wizard - shortcut to Empty Program History
- New main menu categoryes view style (optional)
- Chinese language (Simplified Chinese) support

Upgrade from Versions 2 and 3 to Version 4 for SKTools is not free. Customers who purchased SKTools after September 01, 2007 can use their keys with Version 4 as well. Handango customers can use the Upgrade button. Pocketland customers will be informed by mail from webshop.
Other SKTools 2.x/3.x customers have to contact the support by e-mail to receive the information on purchasing the new version with discount.

I think, you don´t need. It exist a lot of other tools (windows mobile platform) where you can as example, extract CAB files with REAL names or install Apps in ANY folder by using WM5/WM6 OS.

I just bought it through the Pocketland discount offer. I suppose I could have emailed support for the upgrade details, but I couldn't be bothered to wait :(

I just checked, and I originally bought SK Tools in July 2004, so I am quite happy to pay for this upgrade to an excellent piece of software that I regard as essential on my PPC :D
