Guest Neil5459 Posted December 12, 2007 Report Posted December 12, 2007 The SDA is a Smartphone device; it doesn't have touchscreen hardware and uses a cut down version of the Windows Mobile operating system. If you need a touchscreen, you have to buy a Windows Mobile Pocket PC, or Windows Mobile 6 Professional device.
Guest Jayakumar Posted December 12, 2007 Report Posted December 12, 2007 But I have seen people using touch screen in the exact model which I have.Is there any Softeware that can be installed to make it touch screen based.

I very much doubt it. You'd need sensors on the screen to detect the finger/stylus, and support in the operating software to accept touchscreen input. The SDA, and other WM Standard Smartphones, have neither, as they're designed to be driven by a physical keypad. For touchscreen you need a WM Professional PocketPC device. so, you were either 1) looking at a WM Pro device 2) looking at a non-Windows Mobile device 3) looking at a Chinese "knock-off copy" device or 4) looking at someone's device who was having you on :( Edited December 12, 2007 by Metoo
