Guest goochy1 Posted December 12, 2007 Report Posted December 12, 2007 Hi Guys, Just a quick Q + A session needed about capture cards - the things that record whatever is on your TV. Do they work with HD TVs? I need them for GoW Clans so how much can they store? Are they simple to use? Hw much is the best deal to get them? Cheers Guys Goochy1
Guest Monolithix Posted December 13, 2007 Report Posted December 13, 2007 I don't think they're that intuitive. I've not used one myself but remember my housemate spending many hours struggling with one. Cant you get a HD recorder and tape the input channel? (Can you even do that any more?)
Guest genaldar Posted December 14, 2007 Report Posted December 14, 2007 Someone asked this over in the av sub forum on the official xbox forum. You may want to see if you can find it.
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted December 14, 2007 Report Posted December 14, 2007 I think they can do HD, Media Center would make recording easy maybe? :( P
Guest goochy1 Posted December 16, 2007 Report Posted December 16, 2007 I think they can do HD, Media Center would make recording easy maybe? :( P Don't fancy the £56.99 price tag with the added input of installing the thing as i heard there not 100% reliable
Guest goochy1 Posted December 16, 2007 Report Posted December 16, 2007 Another quick question:: My N95 came with a video cable to connect it to your tv...would that act as a similar thing...recording what is on the tv ?? cheers guys
Guest goochy1 Posted January 6, 2008 Report Posted January 6, 2008 Hiya guys Me again lol Is the following capture card ready to plug in and use so to speak meaningi don't need to purchase additional equipment ?? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dazzle-Video-Creat...7501&sr=8-1 Cheers
Guest goochy1 Posted February 3, 2008 Report Posted February 3, 2008 I bought that capture card, although from play.com for £49.99. I have been told that i need additional cables to hook it up. I forgot the name of it... i need the red, white and yellow cables, there was a post on Xbox Forums which i had saved in my favorites however for some reason the post hass been removed... pobably because of how long it has been since people posted on it however this was like aBIBLE. i think it was by Hardcore Wagman. It explained what to buy and where to buy it from and the how to link it together. Just a quick link from any1 to the the cables i nneed as i forgot the Technical name for it. Cheers Guys :)
Guest Monolithix Posted February 3, 2008 Report Posted February 3, 2008 Red white and yellow are composite cables, left and right audio channels and a single video channel. You may find the yellow is an s-vid input instead (which i hate). You'll probably find them on your telly, plug one end in there and the other in your PC, fire up your vid capture app of choice and go wild :)
