Guest gregersdk Posted December 13, 2007 Report Posted December 13, 2007 I have just installed TomTom on my new TyTN, following the guide in this forum. The install went fine, but I have had no luck getting a signal. I am using the inbuild NMEA GPS. Should I use QuickGPS first time I am using the GPS, or just wait for it. The LED is blinking orange as it should, but after half an hour, still no signal was found. What can I do? Please help Gregersdk

It won't logon indoors.
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted December 13, 2007 Report Posted December 13, 2007 What message does TomTom give you? P
Guest gregersdk Posted December 13, 2007 Report Posted December 13, 2007 I did it indoors all 4 times I have tried, but I laid the phone at the window. I am getting no messages, it just keeps on searching... I have in Danish, so... But it says: Waiting for valid GPS signal
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted December 13, 2007 Report Posted December 13, 2007 OK, so you just need to go outside and get a good view of the sky! :( Also, make sure you have run QuickGPS... P
Guest jimbouk Posted December 13, 2007 Report Posted December 13, 2007 Or if its too cold to go outside, make sure the window is aimed in the right direction (where I live its south)
