Guest halwar Posted December 16, 2007 Report Posted December 16, 2007 When i enter total commander and go to LAN-My Computer-folder... I enter my music map and i downloaded a mp3 for fun to see how fast it would go. I noticed that i downloaded in about 120kbit/s which is very slow if you compare to the specifications on the phone, which is 802.11b/g (11/54mbit/s). Therefore i couldnt stream any mp3's with a bitrate over 100kbit\s. This is my problem and i wonder if there is any way you could speed things up, or is the wlan specifications a scam? I have a qtek 9100, wm5... http://www.gsmarena.com/qtek_9100-1257.php Tanks!
Guest Monolithix Posted December 18, 2007 Report Posted December 18, 2007 I did a test a long time ago measuring file transfer times over 802.11B and G on WM devices, and B on my laptop. The winmo devices were practically the same despite one having G, and both notibly slower than the laptop! Lots of factors contribute to file transfer speeds, not least the write speeds of whichever memory you're using. Was it being written to a memory card or the internal memory?
