Guest opticalc Posted December 18, 2007 Report Posted December 18, 2007 I use the gmail java app for my WM6 blackjackII and its really annoying how java is ALWAYS asking me if it can use the network. How can I make it NEVER ask me again? (not even when I open the app when it has been completely closed) Also, does WM6 allow for java shortcuts? Like say I want to have an icon on my homescreen that is telling a java app to run? My goal is to not have to go into the java menu and choose a program from there.

'JBED 0802' is the best java in WM6.It can run most of the java game in Nokia
Guest opticalc Posted December 21, 2007 Report Posted December 21, 2007 'JBED 0802' is the best java in WM6.It can run most of the java game in Nokia How do I an an end user go about getting jbed 0802 on my BJII? Will this jbed allow me to disable java from ALWAYS asking me for permission to access the internet? Will is also allow me to run a specific instance of java wrapped around a java app, like gmail? Can I have two different instances of this jvm running different java apps at the same time?
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted December 21, 2007 Report Posted December 21, 2007 You'll need to hunt around for a slightly dodgy CAB installer at a guess! P

P slightly dodgy, eh? is it possible to completely copy over EVERYTHING in my BJII to my PC for the purposes of restoring it in the event I ever have to do a hard reset?

Guest opticalc Posted December 23, 2007 Report Posted December 23, 2007 Use Sprite Backup for backing up, it's great! P Ill pass since its $30. I miss the PalmOS how it had everything you need and you didnt get nickel and dimed to death.... Anyhow I got cloudyfa's 0802 version installed. But When I run any java app, theres this odd problem of the bottom of the screen still has old data in it from a previous screen. How do we fix that? Also, jbed seems to have registered itself in WM6 as the default java handler. In the event I want to change it back, where is that configured in WM6?

Unfortunately, the unused space is a known Jbed bug on Smartphones (it's originally been "hacked" off Pocket PC's). You can't do anything to fix it with Gmail, as has also been explained in the chart of my MIDlet Bible at http://www.modaco.com/content/Smartphone-G...a-MIDlet-Bible/ . Fortunately, Jbed still works great with games and Opera Mini. Also, jbed seems to have registered itself in WM6 as the default java handler. In the event I want to change it back, where is that configured in WM6? I've expalined this too in the MIDlet Bible - see my registry import files that (re)set the file associations.
