Guest Sharpharp Posted December 19, 2007 Report Posted December 19, 2007 Hi all, Wondering if anyone can help, I have a spv C600 with a joystick problem. When trying tio move up or left its really difficult, and you really have to force it, where as the "down" and "right" operation is smooth. I've opened up and cleaned round the edges and put it back together, but still no joy, any ideas? Do i need a new keypad circuit board?
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted December 19, 2007 Report Posted December 19, 2007 I was reading a thread only yesterday IIRC suggesting using WD40! P

Lots of people are having this problem?.... http://www.modaco.com/content/HTC-Tornado-...xamples-please/ There is a design / manufacturing process fault which I can prove but I need more examples with hard data to get them to do anything about it as they deny all knowledge of any issues! I can't really go into great detail but WD40 / compressed air /rom upgrades are snake-oil fixes that will only ever be temporary until it happens again. M.S

Guest Mysterious Stranger Posted December 21, 2007 Report Posted December 21, 2007 Both mine are suffering from this :D So why haven't you filled in your data so I can take it to HTC and try to do something? :( M.S
Guest xolox Posted December 22, 2007 Report Posted December 22, 2007 (edited) You can replace this joy with joy from sony ericsson :E they are same (sorry for my englisch) Edited December 22, 2007 by xolox
Guest Mysterious Stranger Posted December 22, 2007 Report Posted December 22, 2007 You can replace this joy with joy from sony ericsson :E they are same (sorry for my englisch) [big hint] If you are competant / able enough to replace the joystick microswitch with another one, then you don't actually *need* a new microswitch you can just correct the manufacturing defect. In theones I've seen the joystick microswitch itself is fine.... [/big hint] M.S
