Guest mll Posted December 19, 2007 Report Posted December 19, 2007 Hi there, I have a wifi & GPRS Windows Mobile 6 smartphone (SPV E650 if that's useful). I'd like my laptop to be able to use its ability to connect to the Internet through the cable ActiveSync connexion, preferably through the smartphone's wifi connexion when in hotspots, or through its GPRS connexion when wifi is not avilable. I could not find out how to achieve this. Is that possible ? If yes, how ? Many thanks in advance. MLL
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted December 19, 2007 Report Posted December 19, 2007 You can do Internet Sharing of the GPRS on your device, but not WiFi... P
Guest mll Posted December 20, 2007 Report Posted December 20, 2007 That's what I feared. :D Thanks for your reply. :(
Guest sliptide Posted December 21, 2007 Report Posted December 21, 2007 That's what I feared. :D Thanks for your reply. :( Sorry to piggyback here, but in the same vein: I was digging around today in my downtime at work and I couldn't seem to find out how to get my Juno to share it's internet via EDGE to my laptop over bluetooth betwee the two. I know the Juno supports the Bluetooth 2.0, and my brand new work laptop does as well, but the connection doesn't seem to take (i paired them successfully and added the feature from the manager in my laptop..)-- any documentation you know of that covers this topic?
Guest Monolithix Posted December 21, 2007 Report Posted December 21, 2007 There should be an Internet Connection Sharing icon on your start menu...?
Guest jimbouk Posted December 21, 2007 Report Posted December 21, 2007 There is a hack to enable wifi over ICS...
