Guest Foxhunter123 Posted December 19, 2007 Report Posted December 19, 2007 Erh... Is this not possible on the Tytn 2? I mean like when on the S/E P900 you made a sms, note, task, edited the calender etc. and could write words with your handwriting using the stylus...
Guest Transform Posted December 19, 2007 Report Posted December 19, 2007 yes its available. open the on screen keyboard up and press the arrow next to it. there are various different forms of handwriting methods in there.

I only get symbol pad and keyboard...??? (I've made a hardreset since I bought it used if that'll help...)
Guest Transform Posted December 19, 2007 Report Posted December 19, 2007 which rom are you using? my t-mobile version has these features on but im not sure about the rest. i would have thought these features would be standard across all versions of the kaiser
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted December 19, 2007 Report Posted December 19, 2007 Transcriber is in ROM, no idea why it doesn't show on your list! P
Guest Foxhunter123 Posted December 20, 2007 Report Posted December 20, 2007 Transcriber is in ROM, no idea why it doesn't show on your list! P Could it be because I live in Denmark or something like that? Where can I get it then...?
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted December 20, 2007 Report Posted December 20, 2007 I bet if you hard reset it'll appear... P
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted December 20, 2007 Report Posted December 20, 2007 I guess there could be no Danish support? You could give Calligrapher a go. It's not free, but Transcriber is a cut down version of it anyway :( P
Guest Themuzz Posted December 20, 2007 Report Posted December 20, 2007 You can enable it with this cab: enableRecognizersNL.CAB HTC had disabled the recognition tools, the cab changes the registry and enables them again. I don't know if it works for other country's then the Netherlands. Else you can find here some more information: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?p...M5_Tweaks_Other Good luck. Grtz Themuzz
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted December 20, 2007 Report Posted December 20, 2007 Wonder why they did that? My TyTN II has them? P
Guest Foxhunter123 Posted December 20, 2007 Report Posted December 20, 2007 Wonder why they did that? My TyTN II has them? P Hmm thank you for helping me - I don't think I dare install that enable cab since it ends with NL and that's most likely for Netherlands... ;-) But maybe there is a danish version out there somewhere - however I don't know where to look...?
Guest just.BE Posted December 20, 2007 Report Posted December 20, 2007 thanks ...did work for me ther is no standaard transcriber here in Belgium to, wonder why?
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted December 21, 2007 Report Posted December 21, 2007 Ignore the fact it ends in NL, it should still work! P
Guest Foxhunter123 Posted December 22, 2007 Report Posted December 22, 2007 Ignore the fact it ends in NL, it should still work! P Ok -I'll give it a try
Guest FlexiPack Posted December 23, 2007 Report Posted December 23, 2007 I tried the transcriber earlier. Went through the setup of select which way I write characters and then i couldn't get it to work. I'm sure it worked before Perhaps one of you good chaps could tell me if i'm doing something wrong. With the trascriber selected and a little bar with icons at the bottom. You just write anywhere in the blank area of the screen? I was composing an sms btw but i tried it on email too. I just can't get anything to appear. I've tried letters, words and nothing.
Guest Foxhunter123 Posted December 23, 2007 Report Posted December 23, 2007 I can't get it to work - it's there and I can select it when writing sms but nothing happens and when I try to change settings my phone says it can't load the program- or something like that...???

Grtz Themuzz How big is that cabfile suppose to be...? When I download it it's only 1,00 kb... Is that the correct size?
Guest gregersdk Posted December 23, 2007 Report Posted December 23, 2007 How big is that cabfile suppose to be...? When I download it it's only 1,00 kb... Is that the correct size? It easily could be, it is only ment for reactivating a funkction on the phone, that shouldn't take too much code... Og forresten, Glædelig jul! Gregersdk/BIG_G

Guest Foxhunter123 Posted December 25, 2007 Report Posted December 25, 2007 It's about this again: enableRecognizersNL.CAB maybe I've done it wrong... I have copied it to a folder on my storagecard I named programs using activesync. Then I used my Tytn2 filemanager and tapped on that file installing it on my device. Is this the way or as I could imagine should I have copied the file to a certain folder on the phone?
