IMAP has just stopped working (gmail)

I had IMAP set up nicely on my Kaiser for my gmail account (received about 75% of my emails, other 25% I had to opera mini to account)

It looks like it still checks my inbox for new messages, but it is refusing to send emails. (it tells me to check my coverage and settings)

Now the annoying thing is that the IMAP options under 'settings' on my main gmail account are no longer there....and I don't know why!!

(nb. I originally had the language set to English (UK) but changed this to English (US) to initially be able to access the IMAP settings when I created the account a few weeks ago)

I did change the receive email option to every four hours this morning - maybe that screwed it up?

Anyone else had this problem? (of course the lads at orange were of no help)

Cheers

(ok have just tried again and it says 'cannot connect to incoming mail server' - tis driving me mad. Is it time to go back to POP?)

I think I read on GMail site that IMAP settings would appear next to POP settings as they get rolled out to all users. Think what they're trying to say is - if the settings ain't there then changing to US setting ain't gonna work sunshine. It'll happen eventually, just need to be patient.

Changing your language display to US on the Gmail web settings page and then refreshing does bring back the IMAP settings.

Gmail seem to be experiencing a few problems today as I to have had difficulty sending mail etc. Maybe they are working on IMAP to hopefully sort the HTML email problems on windows mobile :(

Cheers for that guys. It must've been a problem their end. In the end I turned the phone off and went to the pub. After 5 pints of Tim Taylor, turned it back on, worked a dream. Real ale is always a good solution!
