Shadow high-pitched buzz when display is lit

Hi all,

I've had my Shadow for a week now, and have noticed a high-pitched squel coming from the display when it's lit. If you put your ear right up to the middle of the phone instead of near the receiver you can hear it better. It's kind of annoying because the display is of course always lit when you first get on a call. It goes away once the screen shuts off. Has anyone else noticed this? I went into a retail store yesterday, but of course it was too loud in there to hear if all phones are doing it or mine is just defective. I searched and haven't seen anyone else complaining, so either most just aren't as sensitive to it or I need to send my phone back.

I've not noticed mine doing it, and i'm generally very sensitive to high pitched sounds...

It's probably a small switching power supply for the backlight you hear. I wouldn't worry about it.

I just wanted to give an update in case anyone else experiences the same problem. I did have a defective phone. I had it replaced, and my new phone doesn't have the high pitched squeal the old one did.

I also hear a little buzzing when the screen is on but it doesn't bug me too much and i don't want a crappy screen so i will keep my shadow.
