Possible to disable / change camera shutter sound?

You can disable it right from the camera app. Hit Menu then Settings and it's on Advanced tab.

I haven't tried changing it, but it looks like you can change the sound in the registry.

Change HKLM\Software\HTC\Camera\Common\SourceOfSnapSound to point to a different .wav file. If you don't want to monkey with the registry, you can probably just replace \Windows\Snap.wav with a different sound.
