Guest rollens Posted December 23, 2007 Report Posted December 23, 2007 Does anyone know how to stop the ActiveSync program from automatically running when it is not hooked up to my PC? I try to keep programs Iam not using from running to keep my battery from running down. Any advise would be appreciated.
Guest Neil5459 Posted December 24, 2007 Report Posted December 24, 2007 ActiveSync is designed tokeep running in the background, and most attempts to kill it are futile :( If you do any email/PIM sync on or offline, A/S is a necessary component. Don't worry about battery or memory usage- both are absolutely minimal; just try and ignore it.

Guest backdoc Posted December 30, 2007 Report Posted December 30, 2007 I can tell when active sync is running as the email has a long delay trying to connect. When I shut it off email goes out or comes in quickly. I too would like to inhibit its start unless its in the cradle syncing. Steve Thank you for your advise.
