Guest guandalf Posted December 25, 2007 Report Posted December 25, 2007 This is probably the most annoying feature on Windows Mobile which I hope would be solved with WM6. I live in Florida and went on a business meeting to Colorado with my Treo 750. I loved how the network time updated my clock, but why were all my meetings moved 2 hours too?!?! When I set up the meeting for 3 pm... I meant 3 pm.. I am not sure why WM6 seems to "think" that since I am in a different time zone my meetings need to be changed. Could it be that Microsoft overlooked something so trivial? Is there a way around this annoying problem? I would hate to calculate time zone differences everytime I need to schedule a meeting in states that have different time zones to mine. Any help would be appreciated! :(
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted January 3, 2008 Report Posted January 3, 2008 Depends how you look at it. When I move time zone, I WANT all my events to shift, because I configure them in the UK time zone. I'd hate to have, say, a football game in my calendar move just because I moved time zone. If I have to schedule a meeting in the US for example, I book it in using Outlook 2007 where you can specify which time zone the meeting is in. Problem solved. P
Guest Monolithix Posted January 8, 2008 Report Posted January 8, 2008 But annoying if you reguarly change timezones (more of an issue in the US i'd imagine). Like Paul says, i there's arguements for both ways (and we've had those arguements in the past :(). MS have made it a little finickety to sort out though...
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 Can, open, worms, everywhere... :) P
Guest Disco Stu Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 I think Pocket Informant 8 gives you the option to specify the timezone-interchange-retiming issue :)
