imate jamin connection to the web problem

Hi guys

hope u can help i just got a imate jamin and put mu O2 sim card in but cant seem to connecct to the internet at all and it asks for a new connection to be set up but when i called O2 they had no idea what i was talking about .... !!

Can anyone help with how i can set this fone up to connect to the web ?
