Guest KaizerSoze Posted December 30, 2007 Report Posted December 30, 2007 Total noobie here, so first off I have to say there are some amazing threads on here, and sorry if this is just a silly problem.... I copied and pasted a .wav file of "sweet home alabama" (amongst others!) that I want as my alarm tone to the windows folder, but even though the drop down menu on the alarm recognises it, when i go to press it, it doesn't switch to it. I think i've given up converting/copying/pasting and finding out it just won't work! Does anybody know why the .wav files aren't working, or can you recommend a (preferably) free app which will allow me to chose mp3s as an alarm (on the Steller)? Thank you! :(
Guest RickDawson Posted December 30, 2007 Report Posted December 30, 2007 put them in the root of your storage card.
Guest KaizerSoze Posted December 30, 2007 Report Posted December 30, 2007 put them in the root of your storage card. Thanks Rick, I'll try that, but I don't have a storage card yet, so is there anything I can do in the mean time? It's odd, because when I go to change the alarm, the .wav file is recognised, but when I try to chose it, it makes an error sound and sticks with the default alarm sound. I have no idea why I can't chose the file if it is recognised in the alarm drop down menu?

Guest KaizerSoze Posted January 3, 2008 Report Posted January 3, 2008 Try \Application Data\Sounds. P Thanks, it turns out that the wav files i wanted to turn into alarms were way too big (it will be interesting to see the .wav size limits). Putting them in the windows directory works, it's just that the .wav files need to be a lot smaller. I decided to try out SPB Time, and it's working great so far. Nothing like waking up to Santana's 'Smooth' :(
