Guest Posted December 30, 2007 Report Posted December 30, 2007 Hi all. Happy New Year! Can anyone recommend a WM6 Standard app to produce a real close button - something to really close apps when I click on the X? Ideally freeware - since I just want a real close button and other stuff is overkill - but I'd consider commercial apss for the right thing. I already have Facade and Cody alerts running so something that plays nicely with those apps would be perfect. Thanks in advance. :(
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted January 3, 2008 Report Posted January 3, 2008 Er, there is no X on Standard?!? P
Guest Pr0sper Posted January 3, 2008 Report Posted January 3, 2008 How should one get to that X on Standard Paul??? :( :D The only way to really close apps is to 1. always use the Close function if an app has one (most 3rd party ones have one) or 2. use a taskmanager to close the apps.
Guest prajith Posted January 10, 2008 Report Posted January 10, 2008 i dont think it would be possible to get a X on Standard. i use the method that PrOsper described above.
Guest Mechanicaldan Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 (edited) The easiest way to do this is to make one of the buttons on your keypad a Speed Dial tag to the Task Manager. You can do this. I've got mine set up on '8'. Why? I just do. So, I push and hold '8', it brings up Task Manager, and I can close any running application I want. Very sweet...very easy, oh yeah, and it's FREE!!! Edited January 14, 2008 by Mechanicaldan
