Lost contacts

Hi all

Connecting my smartphone to my new PC today and the active sync has erased all the contacts, tasks on my phone.

I thought if the was no conflict it would make sure the data was copied to both devices?

Is there any way to restore my data, down outlook back it up anywhere? or does the phone.

The idea of syncing with my PC was to backup all this important info, now it seems to have done the opposite and wiped out my precious data.

And as the Hard drive i my ol PC died i dont think i have any other source to obtain the data from

i found out that outlook stores all the details ina .pst file.

Anyone recommend any software that can reliably recover data from a drive with a corrupted MBR?
