Okay so I'm sure qute a few people here have done this, but I seem to have a problem. When in Easy Mode (in case you like me have access the desktop) press "Crtl+Alt+T". Now the consle window is open. Then you type in "sudo synaptic" and the Synaptic Package Manager. Now you can manually mark or unmark updates and apply them. Now here's the problem. I updated/installed a few things such as "koffice" and "gnuchess. It show it as installed, but it doesn't show up and I can't use/locate the files. Anyone know how to make them show, or where to find them for use?

One of the downsides of easy mode is that icons are not added as part of the installation of applications.

Head on over to 3eportal and download & install their launcher tools. You can use that application to add the icons to easy mode as required...
