Guest SlyMaelstrom Posted January 3, 2008 Report Posted January 3, 2008 (edited) I was trying to download the CAB file you have to unlock the GPS on COM 4, however but the over-the-air install and the on-device links won't let me download the CAB file but actually opens it as text. Also, when I check the file in properties, it says it is a txt file. Is there a solution to this? Can I turn off opening these files as text and have it downloaded? Is there perhaps a way to "Save Target" on the mobile browser? By the way, as I mentioned the phone is the Samsung Blackjack II and the browser is Windows Mobile 6. Thanks for your assistance. This is my first smart phone! UPDATE: Using the registered link for the on-device install, I receive "This file cannot be read on this device"... not so wonderful. I also attempted the on PC install and received no luck. Edited January 4, 2008 by SlyMaelstrom

P Yes, that was ultimately what I ended up doing and it installed fine. To be honest, I was looking in "My Stuff" rather than "File Explorer" and didn't understand why I couldn't find the CAB files. :( Anyway, no such luck with the GPS, unfortunately.
