Guest jcreedy Posted January 7, 2008 Report Posted January 7, 2008 I bought an HTC S310 from a shitty Orange retail store in Wood Green in September last year and had to return it due to the phone constantly vibrating when I'd get a text or voicemail. I had to turn the phone off and on again every time I got a message to stop it vibrating. Orange replaced this handset but the replacement did the same thing, although not every time I got a message. Has anyone experienced similar problems with this phone? If I choose to give up with HTC S310 and buy another smartphone, can you recommend on on Pay As You Go which I can sync to Outlook?! Help appreciated.
Guest Monolithix Posted January 8, 2008 Report Posted January 8, 2008 My S310 does this, but only very occasionally. It doesn't seem to have reoccured since i last hard reset it though, also i don't bother with the crap auto-installed from the SIM+ (if O can't be bothered to properly rescale their icons why should i bother using them?). Incidentally my Hermes (SPV M3100) has done this as well... As for alternative devices, almost any phone other than the budget ones will have a sync option for Contacts and Calendar, and the majority of those will have a pop3-compatible mail client too... If you want to stick with WinMo there's nothing else out there at the moment unless you go for a pricey sim-free handset from somewhere like expansys!
Guest Menneisyys Posted January 8, 2008 Report Posted January 8, 2008 Think twice before getting rid of the s310: it's one of the VERY few Smartphones able to flawlessly record phone conversations.
