Guest Beezer Posted January 8, 2008 Report Posted January 8, 2008 People I call keep telling me the TytnII (T-Mob Vario III specifically) is a bit quiet at their end, though I can hear them just fine, so it clearly isn't the connection. 1. Is it my phone only or do others have people saying this? ...My suspicion being that the microphone is a bit low volume. 2. Is there a registry hack or similar in WM to boost the mike? I know there is one deep in XP and Vista. If so where is it and how do I do it. Have tried AGC on and off. Makes little difference. All replies appreciated. Thanks
Guest Beezer Posted January 8, 2008 Report Posted January 8, 2008 (edited) 2. Is there a registry hack or similar in WM to boost the mike? I know there is one deep in XP and Vista. If so where is it and how do I do it. I have looked right through the Kaiser Registry and this looks the most promising candidate: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\SOFTAGCData The question is... How does the AGC algorithm work and what should I monkey with? Any suggestions? Edited January 8, 2008 by Beezer
Guest Beezer Posted January 17, 2008 Report Posted January 17, 2008 Bump! I'm still too busy (not to say chicken) to attempt this so replies are still useful - even if they are just conf from anyone else that callers say the Kaiser is quiet although it's clear as a bell at the Kaiser end. I would hate to think it was my crap telephone voice rather than the phone! :)
Guest sirgawain123 Posted April 19, 2008 Report Posted April 19, 2008 Mic in my Kaiser seems to mute when i activate loudspeaker mode, as perons at the other end report that they are unable to hear me (Although i hear them clearly enough through loudspeaker!) is any1 aware of a cure for that bug? After doing some research, it seems is a common malfunction. What a crap for such an expensive device! BR
