I got a phone calll off an Orange rep today to let me know they had an SPV available for me. The weird thing is, I bought mine from Carphone Warehouse about 2 weeks ago and I've never ever contacted Orange about wanting one?

Anybody know how they could have got hold of my details in their sales department?

Perhaps you'd registered your interest online or something before?

I hve definitely not registered an interest in the SPV with Orange. The reason I know is this :-

I was on the net one night a few weeks back looking at getting myself a T100 when I stumbled upon some info on the SPV. I stayed up an extra couple of hours reading up on the SPV and decided I had to have one at any cost (techno gadgety type person).

Following day, I decide to check out a few local shops and Carphone Warehouse. Local shop offer me an SPV for £99 then £30/month on Talk200. Carphone Warehouse offer to match this so I take them up on the offer. the reason I didn't go with local shop, was that I wanted the extra backing that comes with buying from a big company like Carphone Warehouse. I know I could have got one cheaper or even free, but I wanted one there and then ;) and Carphone Warehouse had stock.

It was about 16 hours between setting eyes on an SPV for the first time and actually purchasing one.

The other strange thing is the Orange Sales rep called me on my works telephone number. The only people that would have even got this was Carphone Warehouse when giving them my details for the Orange credit check thingy.

Anyhow, even though I havent unlocked my SPV yet, I still think its a great gadget :lol:
