Guest TehJuancho Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 does anyone have a problem when, if a contact with a caller id picture sends a txt msg, or has a missed call, their picture appears all blurry and pixelated in the notification panel? i have tried converting the caller id picture to bmp, png and different sizes....but no solution, even portrait pictures taken WITH the shadow appear grainy in the notification panel, anyone know a solution, or some sort of a hack to make the picture show normal? OR does anyone know how to make the caller id picture during an incoming call appear bigger? is it me or it appears too small? lol help plz also, does anyone know of a screenshot program?, that way i could show you in more detail thanks

Guest badbob001 Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 This is a limitation of the outlook contacts database. If you have outlook installed on your PC, add a picture to a contact and you'll see that it's automatically shrunk to something like 72x92 and recompressed at a low bit-rate. The contacts database on windows mobile is the same for compatibility so the only way to change this is to find a way to alter the way the database stores contact photos.
