Replacement for M3100

Am about 3 months off of replacing my SPV M3100 which has been a fantastic companion for me and I was wondering what was on the horizon to replace it.

I was really excieted by the screen of the TOshiba g900 but that has a naff camera and doesnt seem to have been reviewed well

I would like to retain touch screen function for web browsing and for lots of medical programs that i regularly make use of.

Basically what, if anything, will be out by April for me to replace the M3100 with that will run WM6 but quicker and with a better screen.

Cheers

Chris

It'll have to be a TyTn II (if you want a decent camera) or Touch Dual (if you want something a little smaller)

Easy :(

I've heard that the Tytn II isnt much of an upgrade, Plus the touch has no wifi.

Thats why i was wondering what was on the horizon, saw the HP pocket pc on the home page but havent found many details about it.

Im kinda after the normal thing of better but smaller.

Just curious if anythings coming out that fulfills these criteria

The TyTN II is a decent upgrade from the TyTN.

It adds built in GPS, a better Camera, WM6, TouchFLO

And don't forget the little things like full size stylus, twice the memory, and that tilting screen of course

And all in a smaller package :)

Definately, i use an M3100 myself at the moment and having used a Kasier its certainly an overhaul in both features and under the hood!

I'd imagine the HP device you're thinking of is the Oak, leaked from Voafones 2008 handset roadmap, hence the lack of info! It could be a serious contender for the Kaisers crown, but who knows when we'll actually see it!

Kaiser is a GREAT upgrade from the Hermes IMHO!

I don't agree with you. I got the HTC P4550 TyTN II, it features Quad-band/3G Windows Mobile 6 smartphone with integrated Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and two cameras, etc. The nice thing about this phone is that the screen can be operated either by touch (your finger on the screen), by the included stylus (pen you use to directly touch the screen), and with both a virtual and a real keyboard. I love it very much.

Thing is i can get all these features bar the improved camera (only 1MP increase)and the GPS (already have a sat nav).

Finger based navigation can be achieved with pointui or similar

Plus i already have WM6

Hence the difficulty.

May stick with it for 6 months or so in that case.
