Guest DrScouse Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 If you want to install Windows XP Via a SINGLE USB key on the Asus EEE, I HAVE THE SOLUTION STEP BY STEP GUARENTEED TO WORK! Go to www.salerocket.com and you can get the tutorial there. Took me weeks to figure it out, so it does require payment, but it is 100% money back if it doesn't work. I KNOW this works because I've done it already on several Asus EEE Laptops. YOU WILL get stuck at a hal.dll error in many cases. This tutorial SOLVES THIS as the issue has nothing to do with the file itself! You can pay through paypal. Just make sure you have the following before you begin any Windows XP Installation on the Asus EEE: WHAT YOU WILL NEED: 1. Legal copy of Windows XP on CD. Copyright Microsoft Corporation. 2. Legal license key for Windows XP. Copyright Microsoft Corporation. 3. Minimum of a 1 Gig Usb Key which you can clear (no important data on it) 4. Windows 98 Boot Disk (Provided in tutorial, however also available for free online). Copyright Microsoft Corporation. 5. HP Flash Key Utility (Provided in tutorial, however also available for free online). Copyright Hewlett-Packard Company. 6. A Windows 2000/XP PC 7. An Asus EEE Laptop PC (These instructions can also be used for other systems as well, however they are focused on the Asus EEE Laptop) 8. Asus EEE Windows XP Drivers located on the Asus EEE CD 9. Some knowledge of DOS Pay.. I dont think so.. loads of free resources telling you how to do it... like this one: http://weblogzz.blogspot.com/2008/01/insta...-pen-drive.html
