Guest turnerh Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 My little hatch that covers the USB port fell off... Does anyone know where I can purchase a replacement? I have contacted Samsung but they want me to send the phone in and I would prefer not to.

In reality you are constantly plugging this thing in to recharge or sync all the time!

Guest totoymola Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 The cover on my BJII feels funny. I think the plastic that connects it to the body of the phone is very tight compared to the cover of other BJIIs, which makes it difficult to rotate and cover the port. :)

They really should have released it without it as it's more of a hinderance than anything. I will be gutted when mine falls off as it really looks finished with it in place. But if I had recieved it without it I wouldnt have looked twice. It's an issue because I know it's supposed to be there LOL. Mine basically has issues from being recharged. It's always a job to get the connector in without jamming the it up against the edge of the door. Edited February 11, 2008 by Sed8ed

Guess I'm in the minority b/c I prefer the covers as they give the phone a clean look, unlike, say the Moto Q9h, when they're covered up. Most of the time I'm not synced or using headphones, so I prefer to have it. My BJ1 covers never fell off despite frequent opening/closing over 9 months, so hopefully these won't either.
Guest ministerdarren Posted February 19, 2008 Report Posted February 19, 2008 :) I'm about to be in the same boat. I was worried about that cover from day one. The issue I'm having is that the rubber "strip" that runs along the inside of the cover is separating and if it happens completely, the rubber that connects the cover to the phone will still be attached but with NO COVER! (if that makes sense) I wonder if I super glue the cover to the rubber if I'll only be avoiding the invevitable? :D

It happened within the 30 day period, so I was able to exchange the phone. i also used the 90% battery charging issue as another excuse. i did try to crazy glue it, but it was difficult. But like you said, it seem like it was a temporary fix for the inevitable. All I can say is try not to put stress on the cover at all times. Mine became separated b/c I left it standing on the cover while charging. Now, I flip the cover forward vs. towards the back of the phone to prevent this. Be gentle to your BJII! :)
