Guest benzo Posted January 15, 2008 Report Posted January 15, 2008 I have a Vario II which I love very much apart from the screen alignment issue which does my nut in at times. So I want to upgrade to another PPC phone. My options: Vario III Touch plus Cruise (in a months time) Vario III- has everything I need but is bigger than my Vario II (and the vario II is edging on big) Touch plus- I was really excited about this phone, but having spent some time researching the forums, it still looks quite buggy; the lack of wifi is also really off putting (I travel a lot and wifi is a necessity) Cruise- It features almost everything, but (and a big but!) it looks really big. Furthermore, for its size you would expect a slide out keyboard somewhere So what do I do?? I am tired of waiting for the next phone.. as each PPC phone that comes out lacks an element of what I want. I wish I could botch together all the PPC phones and make a franken-phone... It's alive!!!! (poor joke I know, sorry!) GPS is not an issue for me as I have tomtom BT module.
Guest chucky.egg Posted January 15, 2008 Report Posted January 15, 2008 Do you need a keyboard? I find the Touch is "fine" for typing, and great for everything else - I'm slow at typing on it, but I'm happy with the sacrifice for the size and weight. What about one of the E-TEN devices? The new X650 looks nice (no keyboard), M800 (with keyboard) or the Beasty X800?
Guest jimbouk Posted January 15, 2008 Report Posted January 15, 2008 The Vario3 isnt bigger than the Vario2. Its slightly heavier but other than that its pretty much the same size. But its streets better!
