Secure WAP network, WAP network, The Work, The Internet?!

Hi there,

What are the differences between those "connection types" found in my WM6 smartphone: Secure WAP Network, WAP Network, The Work, The Internet ?

The reason I ask for this is that I have an MMS plan with my provider and I need to configure the MMS settings properly so that I don't get billed for all that GPRS data... so far it hasn't worked and I'm using the "Secure WAP network" connection type when asked, should I switch to "The Internet" type?

MMS uses the Internet connection if i remember correctly, you will need to configure the MMS app though to use the correct AP and MMSMC (iirc). Google will provide the settings for your provider :)

I've tested it enough and finally, here are my results...

No matter what type of network connection you choose (Secure WAP, WAP, etc...), it more depends on the APN & MMSC settings, which needs to be related to the MMS network. For example, in my case it's the APN "mms.fido.ca" and I'm no longer being billed :-)
